Our institute has been moving forward on establishing a Japanese language education model, which was commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

Since 2021, Bunka Institute of Language (BIL) has been carrying out a project to build an effective model for distance learning for Japanese language education as part of the MEXT’s commissioned project "advanced technology usage trials within vocational schools".

The impact of the spread of the COVID-19 has forced a review of traditional methods of teaching vocational students and the need to develop new and improved educational models. The MEXT had issued a call for proposals for experimental trials on measures in using advanced technology, and ways of maintaining quality of education in the case of remote training.

Bunka Institute of Languages proposed a project that planed to not only offering high-quality Japanese language education to international students in Japan but also aimed at providing it to students who were not able to ever Japan due to travel restrictions. After examination by MEXT the proposal was adopted and implemented.
